Teenaged Jcan ordered extradited for triple murder

Davion Parson, 19, suspect wanted for the murders of reggae DJ's Antone Neely, Michael Rattigan, and their friend Kevin Webster in an act of revenge was ordered extradited when he appeared before the Half-Way-Tree Criminal Court on last Wednesday. The US prosecutors declared that they would seek the death penalty against him.
The Jamaican authorities, through the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, had however argued that they would not grant the extradition unless US prosecutors assured them that they would not seek the death penalty against Mr. Parson if he was convicted.
Under the extradition treaty, the Jamaican Government could have refused to release Mr. Parson if the US Government insisted that he face would the death penalty. However US prosecutors in Tampa, Florida, yielded and promised not to seek the death penalty
The shooting occurred on May 24, 2008 in the Thunderbird Bar in Tampa. It was reported that the shootings were a carry-over from an earlier fight. After the attack, detectives say a relative paid for a cab to take Mr. Parson to the Orlando International Airport, where he boarded a flight that took him to Miami, then Montego Bay, St. James.
He was captured in June 2008 by members of the Fugitive Apprehension Team during an operation in Kingston.
