Operation Kingfish were busy Friday interrogating the controversial dancehall artiste, Miguel Collins, alias 'Sizzla'. He was being questioned along with five other detainees who were picked up in August Town, St. Andrew on Thursday, following a major gun find.
Head of Operation Kingfish, Assistant Commissioner Glenmore Hinds, said the police have intensified their investigations into the massive arms haul.
In a joint police/-military operation in the August Town area, police discovered 13 high-powered weapons in a fowl coop near a house known as 'Sizzla Corner'. Other contraband found included magazines for various weapons, ammunition and bullet proof vests.
Reports are that the guns were discovered in a large, rectangular looking, black leather bag with a piano keyboard. The bag was dug from beneath the earth. Up to late Friday evening no one has been charged in connection with the guns seizure. Police and military revisited August Town, searching for more guns and have expressed an interest in speaking with the owner of the fowl coop, who is said to be a close relative of the entertainer.
The gun find is a big dent in the activities of the 'Judgement Yard Gang'.
Four homes have been set ablaze in August Town, Jamaica, the hometown of dancehall star Sizzla.
