Now I really see that the truth. What i see is the bulk of the hardest working people who keep the country operating seem to be comprised of immigrants. Your yards are kept nice by Haitians, some of your best mechanics are foreigners, maintainace people, janitors ect. BHMS are not interested in these type of jobs, instead they vie for opressive positions such police enforcement, immigration and prison guards. You guys have a lot of those.

Part 2
I have lived in Jamaica for 12yrs and still have many freinds from all over the world who have made it their home, and the only thing apart from crime(which is everywhere) people complaim about is that things are hard, but thing are tough everywhere. Apart from the already rich, people are just trying to survive and it is human mentality to see the grass greener on the other side. Still most foreigners who climb the fence over to BHMS grass try to climb right back over. Those are the smart ones, because no amount of money or a LITTLE easier living is worth being treated like a dog. Treat your fellow caribbean people better, you are living in a region which is prone to hurricane and they are getting worse as we saw last summer, you never know when your going to need help. We are looking to the middle east right now, and you do not have any oil. Better try to unite with your fellow sea mates

Read with understanding
I can see that Mr B had a talk with a couple of his friends. It does not matter what you guys want to claim the fact still remains that too many foreigners whom have resided in your country for whatever time period, suffer bad treatment. Yes some people(AMS, CNDS) are readily accepted there, but I have not included you guys and you should not include yourself either. I am referring to your own CARIBBEAN people. People from the caribbean are not as readily accepted in the BHMS. Jamaica is a poor country, but they did not refuse the Haitian refugees who landed on their shores, instead the provided them with various aids in order for them to survive in the country.Cuba readily accepts and allows foreigners to live and work there. Panama people are receptive to hard working people, and I can name many other caribbean islands which receives people who are trying to make something of themselves.

Why
Why build the person, and then break them,It's so true, the truth realy hurts.who feels it knows it .For your info the average forigners are only working $150us per week ,and when they are invaded early in the mornings by immigration officers breaking into their apartments taking people out in sleeping wear humiliating them then turn around charging them $4000,us or 18mnths in fox hill for overstaying in their country tell me you all whats up with that? aint no place else in the world do crazy things like that. let me tell you plenty people came to the BHS with more money than they left with .Am talking for the people who cant speak for themself. In the BHS now is like in the sixties when racism was previlent in the uk&us,that how it is with foringners,I say before and I say again who feels it knows it .

I must say
I am a Math teacher living in Bahamas from Canada. I' ve also worked in some the other caribbean countires and I would rather work here in the Bahamas. I have also seen countless indiviuals from Jamaica, etc all working in The Bahamas and when i ask them why can they work in there country they all said "noting is happening." I have been here for the last six years and I have not yet expirenced no one acting stupid.
Its a good country, with good people and I assure you are there some who act like there not human, but thats life. And from my personal veiw, think the Bahamas is the best in the Caribbean based on where I have traveled and seeing so many forigners coming here for money to take back home.
Also the Bahamians shouldn't even vist this website if the Caribbean sees them this negative.

Thats the case
Two those two fools name "Yaya and Nosie" what you two are talking about is a problem that happens every where. Look at my country, most countries don't like the US but were still living. Those people only could talk but were still here, and the same goes for The Bahamas. I have also lived in The Bahamas and I have good comments to tell others and some bad comments as well. But I am not that stupid to label the entir country as a bad place like Yaya did. In New York there are some people who are frendly as a tree and there will always be those who think other wise. Almost everyone I met from the Craibbean wants to live in the BHS, and I have seen so much Jamaicans, working and taking money back home, simply becasue The Bahamas has more to offer than there country.
I have travel to all the caribbean countires and I good tell you The Bahamas is the best out off the whole bunch. So to all Bahamians don't worry about these guys becasue the truth hurts that's all.

I don't think so
To all Bahamians, why do yawl answer these people. When its clear that your country is the best in the Caribbean. I lived in BHS for 10 years and I have good commets to tell others. From what I've notice the other Caribbean countries can't stand the fact how the BHS has it so good. Look at how in Jamaica the children have to pay to go HIGH SCHOOL not college but HIGH SCHOOL. What other caribbean country has eletions and the MP's could walk around in all the settlements and have motorcades and don't have a gunbattle. So to all Bahamians don't answer these people becasue notice this they talking bad about yawl but they want live there, ask them why don't want live back in there own country.

ITS ALL ABOUT THE TRUE FACTS
YOU ALL BAHAMIANS ARE VERY JELIOUS AND INSECURE WHEN IT COMES TO FORIGHNERS,IF YOU ALL WAS SURE OF YOURSELF AND EXERCISE MORE SELFESTEEM THEM YOU ALL WOULDN'T BE SO THREATEN BY YOU ALL RIVALS.WE ARE BORN SMART AND THAT ONE THINK YOU ALL CANT TAKE AWAY FROM US AND THATS THE MAIN REASON FOR YOU ALL TO BE THIS JELIOUS AND COVITIOUS AGAINST FORIGHNERS

TRUE BUT ITS A GLOBAL THING
Mr. Yaya I travel a great deal also and based on my expirences, I have both good and bad veiws of the people in those countries. But wouldn't you agree that this is a case every where? People who travel oh lets say Jamaica come back saying how preaty it was and others come back saying how dangerous it was. You may have met a FEW I mean a Few people who share your opion but there others who lived in the BHS for years and have good reports to tell others. When I say FEW we have over five million people come to our shores each year, and I assure you there our those who have a positive and negative veiw on the Bahamas. You said the caribbean could be a competitive force, that is not all the way true. Some of the caribbean countries our not stable and I mean politicly and for a partnership to work there has to be total coperation on both sides. So Mr. Yaya I ask that you please stop critizing a nation based on your expirences in The Bahamas, becasue you cannot speak for 6 billion people.

Still cannot see it your way
I do not believe that any of my comments were inappropriate or untrue and maybe thats is the reason for such a response. I think it is sad that the mentality is that foreigners are costing you and your country, when so many countries including the Bahamas was built by the sweat of "foreigners".
Listen people I am referrring to THE CARIBBEAN, not the US. I have travelled to a lot of places and foreigners are more readily embraced by the people, except in the BHS. Every and I do mean every person(who was not born there)who I have spoken to who have lived in the Bahamas more than three months all have horrible stories to tell about their experiences living in the BHS. When I share my own experience the person and I end up finishing each others sentences. I am not saying that all BHM people are opressors but I am saying that I seem to share very simular experiences with a astounding amount of foreigners who have lived and is still living in the Bahamas

I see your point but watch your words
Mr. Yaya I clearly see your point but you must understand that illegal foreigners cost our country millions. With the United States, they spend 12 million a year just keep these people out. And you are right people are people but when these people start to treat the locals with no respect, how would you feel. Also you shouldn't rate all Bahamians based on your expirenced in The Bahamas. Every one is different and have different views on things. Also not only the Bahamas treat Haitians bad, The Dominicains, Jamaica, even the Cubans treat these people the way you say we do. And were ever your from I assure you that your country has poeple who are the same way. so please watch your choice of words.

Re: To Yaya
So I guess those foreigners who have very high positions in The White House are based on your point "there jobs you guys refuss to do anyways." Sir who ever you are, you are the inhumane person, becuase you are down grading an entir nation base on your personal expirence in The Bahamas. Not all Bahamians are alike and the way you think they are. The same goes for people in your country, there are people who treat foreigners with well equal respect and there those who treat them like pure trash. So, who ever you are please I ask you to stop because your going by what you expirenced and you cannot down grade a country because of actions you expirenced.

Part 2
Compared to the larger nations such as the US and UK, each caribbean country has minimal strength, but togather we can be a competing force. This cannot be achieved when a nation like the Bahamas have people who treat their own caribbean people worse than say Americans or Europeans do. People are people and all deserve a fighting chance. Things are hard everywhere and people are just trying to survive, so why try to break their stride. Most of the jobs which foreigners take in the Bahamas are jobs which you guys really refuse to do anyways, so why not leave them alone. Do you prefer if some of these things remain undone. LIVE AND LET LIVE.

STILL SAYING SOOO WHAT?
Tommy your comment about me being a Hatian made my point, and for your information I am not a Haitian. Besides what is wrong with Hatian people can you not see that their complextion is the same as yours. I have seen your treatment of people from Haiti and it really horrible. People are not stupid because they do not speak your language, therefore, should not be treated as lesser beings for that. But thank you for making my point and yes I am talking about things I have experienced, which is just a tip of the iceburg which people living in the Bahamas, who are not Bahamian experience everyday with Bahamian citizens. All I am saying is imagine yourself in the other person's shoes. It cannot and is not easy for a foreigner in any strange land.

RE: To So What
To Yaya
Guyanna is not in the Caribbean Sea, along with Brazil. These countries are part of the Caribbean nations. How can you say we are guilty of being inhumane, when you live in a country that is know for that. We the Bahamian people are not going to let no anybody come in our country and take are rightful place. This happens in every country and where you are USA. Do you actualy think that REAL Americans want Cubans, Bahamians, Haitians in thier country. Do you actualy think that they are proud of a BLACK woman having a high position in the White House. Not all Bahamians are alike so please watch your choice of words.
By Mr. B @ BAHAMAS

so what?
I do not know why bahamas news is featured on a caribbean site, when bahamian people do not consider themselves as part of the caribbean or even part of the BLACK race. Warning if you are from another country do not spend more than three, count them three months in the bahamas. Beyound that the people start to treat you as if your scornfull. They try to stop any progress you try to make in your life, simply because they cannot and will not try as hard as someone from another country. If you do not believe me ask anyone who have lived in the bahamas for a while and who is not a bahamiam citizen.
Therefore, I say so what. The bahamian nation is guilty of inhumane behavior against their fellow caribbean people, futhermore they do not consider themselves a part of our circle of caribbean pride so, so what?
