And the controversy over the death of Pakistani cricket Coach Bob Woolmer continues with this latest saga. Senior Superintendent Reneto Adams, the controversial former head of the now disbanded Crime Management Unit, has called for the resignation of Deputy Police Commissioner Mark shields. Adams made a public statement that Shield acted hastilyin calling the case a murder and brought shame and disrepute to the Jamaican Police Force, which has been severely disgraced by the recent findings. Detectives from Scotland Yard recently concluded that Woolmer was not murdered as had been reported by Shields but that he died from natural causes. Local pathologist Dr Ere Seshaiah, after performing an autopsy on Woolmer's body, ruled that the cricket coach had died as a result of asphyxiation due to manual strangulation. To date Seshaiah has made no comment with regards to the latest findings by Scotland Yard.
