The officers also celebrated a 17.5 per cent decline in residential burglary; a 12.5 reduction in commercial burglary; a 35 per cent drop in serious bodily harm, and seven per cent reduction in robbery The Police Commissioner, who praised his officers for their commitment, diligence and resilience, noted that this achievement was especially significant because of Cricket World Cup which had presented more opportunities for criminal activity in 2007.
