The heat is on for an end of month by-election in St Lucia. On November 26, five candidates will make a bid for the Micoud North constituency seat left vacant by the death of former Prime Minister Sir John Compton. The November 16 Nomination day produced the registration of 3 independent candidates; Marius Wilson, George Daniel and MacDonald Alexander. The other two candidates are Silas Wilson of the St Lucia Labour Party (SLP) and Jeannine Compton-Rambally of the United Workers Party.
