Trinidad and Tobago's Police Commissioner Trevor Paul has declared war on criminals and says he plans to match their aggression and bring the twin republic's spiraling crime rate under control. Speaking at a recent press conference Pul announced that the Unit would benefit from a new fleet of vehicles equipped with state-of-the-art global positioning systems and computers. the Police Commissioner said that his officers would no longer be treating criminals "with kid's gloves on." Paul maintained that the officers would do a in their power to dismantle Trinidad's criminal element and dismissed allegations from former Member of Parliament Ganga Singh who said that there was a " death squad" within the Police service.
