More attacks in Guyana, 13 dead

Tuesday, February 19, 2008

There has been yet another violent attack in that Caribbean country, making this the second massacre to occur within the month of February. In this incident, unidentified gunmen broke into a police station at a gold-mining township in south-western Guyana, killing three policemen and nine civilians, whilst several others were injured. According to accounts, the gunmen approached the township via boat and immediately stormed the Bartica police station on the edge of the river. They were dressed in military fatigues. Regional Chairman Hilbert Knights said the men made off with a number of weapons from the artillery.

CRAZY vs STUPIDNESS
Someone wrote that the main problem was black against indian and indian against black,,I would have to disagree with that because the criminals are killing blacks and indians,,so its no longer a racist thing going on. Guyana been was divided for a long time but there was never this much chaos going on until the PPP came into power. I have no problem with the PPP ruling but if you can't solve the crimes that's been going on in Guyana then its time you need to come out. We all know that the PPP is corrupted but i bet you if the criminals was going after the government officials something would have been done a long time ago. So both blacks and indians are scared of their lives so its no longer a racial thing,,,its that things have gotten so bad in Guyana that people are frustrated and tired so they look for another way out of the depression and thats to form gangs and create chaos in Guyana. So the PPP government needs to GO.

The Government is just reaping the benefits of their labour, you can NEVER plant corn and reap sweet fig bananas !!! This mayhem is not an action its a reaction combined with the frustration of the people!!! May GOD save our beloved country !!!

Government 2 blame
the currant economical situation in Guyana is forcing the young blacks and indians to become criminals inorder to survive ... while the government officails and their close financial supporters eat and get fat ... there are many starving ... the level of cooruption in the government is terrible ... does anyone want to try to figure out the amount of funds/ money that has been mishandled and stolen since 1997 ... be my guest

Stupidness
The PPP does have a lot of fault and the coutry is divided by racism. They need no more PNC nor PPP. Get that clear cause its black against indian and indian against black. Thats the main problem.

CRAZY!!!!
I personally think that the PPP should resign right away. Since the PPP went in Guyana has gotten so bad that its a shame. No one can control Guyana its like there is no government so let someone else take over the country but its a shame on the PPP government. Time for a new Government..................period
