In news from the OECS, a new Chief Justice has been appointed to the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court. Justice Hugh Anthony Rawlins has replaced Acting Chief Justice, Sir Brian Alleyne S.C. of Dominica, who retired on 28 April 2008. Rawlins, who was born on St Kitts, will now administer the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, headquartered in St Lucia. The ECSC is the Superior Court of Record for the nine OECS Member States; Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Anguilla and the British Virgin Islands.
