Jamaican Prime Minister Bruce Golding has reiteratated his call for the lifting of the decades old embargo imposed by the US on Cuba. Golding said that the embargo, which has been in effect since 1960 belongs to an era that is long past and serves no purpose in today's time. The PM is urgng the US to engage in constructive dialogue with the Cuban government which he says is showing strong signs f reform. The PM stressed howveer that it was up to the Cuban people to decide the rate at which this reform should proceed and that there should be no external pressure from outside interests.
