Over twenty-two expatriate members of the Royal Cayman Island Police (RCIP) could be homeless in a matter of days if the public and private sectors do not come to their rescue.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Anthony Ennis has made an impassioned plea asking that something be done to ensure the police officers were assisted so they can stay and provide much needed assistance to the Island.
Speaking on the importance of security he emphasized that the island could not at this time afford to lose trained personnel. But he warned since the officers did not have families there, with no place to live they could well opt to go back to their respective countries.
