The brutal murder of a Swedish couple in Tobago has caused Trinidad and Tobagos Opposition Leader, Basdeo Panday, to break his silence. Like all the other murders thus far, it has become quite clear that the T&T government is incapable of dealing with crime" Panday said.
The opposition leader added that the ruling Peoples National Movement (PNM) had spent millions and millions of dollars on crime and crime gets worse every day, and clearly they are unable to deal with this issue". There is only one answer for this country and that is to move the PNM out. If they are not prepared to do so, then they will have to endure what they get day to day, Panday said. The Opposition leader said, with the murder of the Swedes in Tobago, warnings will be issued to Europeans, and the Europeans would be fearful to visit Trinidad and Tobago.
