A tropical wave affected nearly all of Barbados, causing flash flooding in several districts in St. Michael, St. James and Christ Church. Emergency services were once more called to action after a flood warning was issued by government's Department of Emergency Management (DEM). Schools were closed as the Ministry of Education decided to end classes allowing parents to pick up their children. Tuesday's flooding, just like last week, was caused by a heavy cloud mass in conjunction with an area of low pressure that saw a tropical wave develop in the Lesser Antilles, but stretching from as far north as Guadeloupe and as far south as Guyana.
