The Antigua police have uncovered a sophisticated credit card scam. The masterminds have stolen hundreds of thousands of dollars from accounts of unsuspecting credit and debit card holders. So far, the police have arrested a Trinidadian man and a Guyanese woman who were in possession of 49 credit and debit cards and a large amount of cash. A device used to make copies of credit cards was also found by the police. The couple is also being investigated for fraud in other countries. Earlier this year the Antigua and Barbuda Bankers Association issued a statement alerting the public of possible credit and debit card scams.
