The number of female murders has doubled so far for the year in Trinidad and Tobago.
Statistical data indicates that 44 females have been murdered for the year, 22 more than the same period, last year. The report stated that 18 were shot, nine stabbed, six chopped, three strangled, three beaten to death, two poisoned and two set afire. There were also 11 murders/suicides. The youngest victim was Vandana Ramdeen, only two years of age, who was allegedly poisoned. Meanwhile, Jamaica has also reported that far more females were killed this year than last year, and there has also been increase in child murders.
