Deputy Commissioner of Police Mark Shields, who will be leaving the Force early next year after declining a new contract, is receiving mixed reviews for his three-year tour
of duty in Jamaica. The former Scotland Yard detective, who joined the Force in 2005, was mandated to assist with the modernization of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF). There have been contrasting assessments of his performance as crime chief. Former Advisor to the Ministry of National Security, Harold Crooks, says DCP Shields played a critical role in improving the investigative capacity of the JCF.But Dr. Henley Morgan who served on the National Commission on Crime and Violence described DCP Shields' performance as disappointing.

So what the hell is Jamaica doing hiring a foreign who didn't help at all, then turn around and offer him more money to stay. I am very disappointed, too much rasshole FOREIGN INTEREST. Everybody a yaad want to guh Foreign and FOREIGN PPL A BUYOUT OUR LAND, LEAVING THE PPL dem poor,hungry and desperate..
I Have ambitions to run for Prime Minister of Jamaica one day in the future and I tell you, The first thing I'll do is CUT OFF all foreigners from buying property in my country, the once that do own property there will need to pay heavy tax that i will then use to develop the poorest communities in the land.

From 2005 until now what has he done?
