A controversy is heating up in the Cayman Islands over an American company that won the bid for the clean-up of post hurricane debris.MC Restoration Company is now the holder of a Local Companies Control License (LCCL). Thats a necessary license to do business in the Cayman Islands.
MC Restoration was registered in the Cayman Islands just over five weeks ago and was awarded a $10.7 million contract to remove debris from Grand Cayman brought about as a result of Hurricane Ivan.Questions are being asked why there were no advertisements placed in local newspapers as required by law, inviting local companies participation in MC Restoration.
