Three prominent Jamaican sports personalities are being probed by Scotland Yard detectives in connection with a major arms smuggling, drugs and money laundering ring.
And government officials say one of the three has been under the Yards microscope for the past three years. He has been linked to one of the major gangs in the United Kingdom.
One spokesperson alleged that whenever the three are representing Jamaica overseas, they use clever ways of smuggling drugs in their sports equipment.
Just recently, Scotland Yard detectives and Jamaicas local Operation Kingfish made a swoop search for the assets of Owen 'Father Fowl' Clarke, the reputed leader of the 'British Link Up Crew'. He is now serving a 13-year prison term in the United Kingdom.
