Jamaicans warned of tough times ahead

Monday, August 24, 2009

Jamaica is making a move to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to help improve the countrys economy. As a result the government is again warning citizens to be prepared for tough times ahead.
Finance Minister Audley Shaw stated in his speech delivered to the inaugural awards banquet of the Cambio Association of Jamaica that with or without financial support from the IMF and other multilateral agencies, there will be "hard choicest" to be made "in order to position the economy once and for all on the path of sustainable growth and development".
Jamaica is seeking US$1.2 billion under a standby agreement with the Washington-based financial institution and the Bruce Golding administration has vowed to keep citizens informed of the negotiations.
Most of the economic indicators are pointing in the right direction and that inflation and inflationary expectations have been trending down and are expected to remain subdued stated Shaw.

IMF=Thieves
Island people can't starve yes, u can plant yo garden and go catch fish, but it mek mi mad because organizations like the IMF give nations like Jamaica false help, dem a go give 1.2billion dollars but dem charge interest pon it so the Jamaican government and the Jamaican people end up owing the IMF (wich is owned my America!) 3, 4, 5 times more than 1.2billion, its a scam, the IMF and America are thieves stealing from the poor and unfortunate, its wickedness!!!
