In Trinidad and Tobago, three men forced their way into the home of the Cuban ambassador to that country and robbed him and another Cuban, a doctor who was with him at the time.
It was unclear how the men entered the house of Felix Ral Rojas in Westmoorings, an upscale suburb of Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago's capital, where many diplomats and foreigners live.
Rojas told police one of the men was armed. He said he was forced to hand over the keys to his BMW sport utility vehicle and an undisclosed amount of cash. Rojas was not harmed.
A few weeks ago in nearby Guyana, The Ambassador of Finland to Guyana was mugged while walking near a Park in the Capital City. And during a crime wave in Guyana an American Diplomat was kidnapped several months ago.
Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana and Jamaica have seen an upsurge in Crime in recent years.
