United Nations peace-keepers in Haiti have evicted a group of former soldiers from the home of the exiled president, Jean-Bertrand Aristide. This ended a two-day stand-off.
UN troops entered the building by force, but a spokesman, said no shots were fired. The former soldiers surrendered peacefully.
The former soldiers, who helped oust Mr Aristide earlier this year, said they wanted to make the building, the headquarters of a new Haitian army.
Mr. Aristide now lives in exile in South Africa.
