Gregory Isaacs Dies

Monday, October 25, 2010

Jamaican reggae singer best known for his 1982 track 'Night Nurse'- has passed away this morning (25.10.10) aged 59 after a battle with cancer.

According to reports by the BBC Caribbean, Isaacs - nicknamed the Cool Ruler and Lonely Lover - died at his London home. Friends said he had originally been diagnosed with cancer of the liver which had then spread. He is survived by wife. Linda, and children.

Gregory had a prolific career, releasing over 50 albums over four decades. His last album, 'Brand New Me' was released in 2008 to very positive reviews.

Only days ago Gregory's Linda admitted her husband was "not well" but declined to make further comment.
Singer George Nooks said he had recently spoken with Gregory, and told the Jamaica Observer newspaper: "I don't know just what will happen, but I do know that God can turn things around. My prayers are with Gregory."

Cotton
My friend Cotton, awake from your sleep and slumber and give thanks to the "white" man for helping to alleviate poverty from your "blessed" Africa!!!!
That they call your ancestors by crude names and abuse them was wrong, but for pete's sake man, LET IT GO!!!!

Promised Land??
That Cotton fellow needs to have his head examined after he cleaned off the sh*t from it. (Thanks Hagg)
Millions are fleeing Africa to look for "greener pastures" in European countries and still some people like Cotton has the gall to dis those countries.
It was a sad day when slavery commenced but Black people cannot continue to hold that over the heads of all "white" folks.
Anyone will tell you that South Africa was better off when it was ruled by Ian Smith!!!

Comment
That was well put by Hagg. I am sure if Mr. Cotton was living in Africa, he will never called it the "promised Land"!!
Starvation, diseases and illeteracy are rampant in all parts of Africa.

Bouy Cotton, you live with your head up your a** mi son!!!
De hunga and poverty that exist in Africa far exceeds that of Australia, its the same white man who is sending billions every year to feed Africa!!
Did Africa send any money to Hati after the earthquake. Its the white man again mi son!!
Wake up and stop biting the hand that feed you skunt!! Let the past remain in the past - move forward is what Jah will want if him was alive, Bumbu man, let it go!!
