A 24-year-old teacher Ronald Forde accused of having sex with a female student of the Fort Wellington Secondary School in west Berbice Guyana has confessed.
According to investigators, the teacher confessed to having sex with a 15-year-old female student in the classroom of the school last year. The student told detectives that the act was committed twice, with September 2010 being one of the times.
There have been allegations of the teacher touching other students inappropriately. The trained teacher hails from Belladrum on the West Coast of Berbice.
Under the Table of Charges for teachers under the Teaching Service Commission, sexual misconduct with students would definitely guarantee the teacher facing dismissal with immediate effect.
