The Barbadian government says it will not abandon the low budget airline REDjet. However, Prime Minister Freundel Stuart says the government has to ensure that all the I?s are dotted and T?s crossed before any steps are taken to invest taxpayers? money in the air carrier.
According to Stuart, it is important that the government is sure that REDjet is following all the rules and the country can truly realise value for money. As such, the PM has requested a secure copy of the company?s balance sheet from the State Minister; this data will assist the administration in determining the airline's future.
