Dancehall fraternity once again mourns the death of a relative for a prominent Dancehall artiste as the father of iconic deejay, Beenie Man has passed away.
Beenie's Dad, known as Bragga, died on last Wednesday night at the University Hospital of the West Indies in Kingston while receiving treatment for an undisclosed health complaint. Reportedly, the news came as a complete shock to Beenie Man as well as his long-time manager and brother, Rohan "Blue" Smith and are said to be very sad as they cope with their loss.
Beenie Man's ex-wife, D'Angel visited the hospital and offered her condolences upon hearing the news. According to the singjay, Bragga was a very fun person to hang around.
When the news broke, several Jamaican music personalities have offered their condolences, most notably, Bounty Killer, who had lost his mother to illness in February and was supported by Beenie Man. Bounty Killer tweeted, "Not so sure about this just got it ppl, Beenie Man father just died at University Hospital. Condolence goes out."
