The Barbados government has assembled a team to investigate whether the recent gas find off east Trinidad falls within that country's maritime boundary.
The find has been said to be the single largest ever in Trinidad. Its estimated at two trillion cubic feet and was recently described as "a world class discovery."
The dispute comes on the heels of the fishing dispute between Trinidad and Barbados. Arbitration of that case commences in November 2005.
