Barbados probes Trinidad gas find

Saturday, December 25, 2004

The Barbados government has assembled a team to investigate whether the recent gas find off east Trinidad falls within that country's maritime boundary.
The find has been said to be the single largest ever in Trinidad. Its estimated at two trillion cubic feet and was recently described as "a world class discovery."
The dispute comes on the heels of the fishing dispute between Trinidad and Barbados. Arbitration of that case commences in November 2005.

No sorta Common Sense at all
Schupseeeeeeeeeeee

The matter was never about fish. It was always about martime boundaries. This particular argument is simply a natural extension of the one before. We Bajans are not obessed with Trinis. We are interested in ensuring that you dont take more oil than is yours. We dont begrudge you what you have--we just want to make sure you take what is yours and ONLY what is yours.
