Deputy Mayor of Montego Bay Michael Troupe and his son Jevaughn Troupe have reportedly been charged with illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
It's understood that the father and son were charged following a question and answer session in the presence of their attorney yesterday.
Sources say arrangements are being made for Councillor for the Salt Spring Division Sylvan Reid to also face a question and answer session.
Mr Troupe, his son and Mr Reid were among five persons held during three early morning raids by the Lottery Scam Taskforce in St James.
A large amount of cash and motor vehicles were also seized during the early morning operations.
