Surinames President Dr Ronald Venetiann will become the next Chairman of the Caribbean Community. President Venetiaaan takes over the leadership of the 15-member body from January 1, next year.
The Surinames leader succeeds Grenadas Prime Minister Dr Keith Mitchell. A new regional leader is named to chair the grouping every six months.
