Jamaican businessman, Patrick Forbes, popularly known as 'Doggy' was gunned down at liming spot in Georgetown, Guyana.
Police say the 36 year old man was shot fives times in the company of several friends in the vicinity of Orange Walk, Bourda around 01:00hrs.
Forbes, 36 operates a boutique on Forshaw Street, Georgetown.
Reports say the man survived a similar attack, while in Jamaica a few years ago.
Meanwhile, a 36-year-old Jamaican woman has been hospitalised after being chopped by a jealous lover, in an unrelated incident.
Paulette Harris, a mother of two has been living in Guyana for five years now and works as a cook in a mining camp at Mahdia.
Her lover who is said to a gold miner at another camp in Mahdia, has not been caught by police.
The woman explained that she was in an abusive relationship in her homeland and came to Guyana for betterment but instead met with the worst.
Investigations on both incidents are ongoing, the police say. |
