On January 18, a concert was held in honor of calypso legend the Mighty Sparrow. Fans and colleagues jammed in Melanie?s Sports in Brooklyn, New York in attendance of the event organized by Derek Parsons of WACK Radio and famed calypsonian singer Calypso Rose.
Sparrow, sitting on a tall chair sang some of his classics and performed for 40 minutes that night after going into a diabetic coma in September and regaining consciousness weeks later.
