On attempted to intercept the vehicle, the suspects opened fire. The officers returned fire and a chase ensued. In attempt to intercept the vehicle PC Ramsey was shot in his right forearm.
Upon reaching Xavier Street off the Endeavour Link Road, police said the suspects crashed into a wall, and the two men were discovered in the vehicle, bleeding from gunshot wounds. They were taken to the Chaguanas Health Facility where they were pronounced dead on arrival.
