Buju lost appeal for new trial

Tuesday, January 20, 2015

Grammy award-winning Jamaican reggae artiste Buju Banton has lost his appeal to have his conviction overturned to secure a new trial.

With this ruling, that was handed down in a Florida court Mr. Mark Myrie, will continue to serve his 10-year prison sentence.

He is currently serving a mandatory sentence for his conviction on a charge of conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

Buju is scheduled to be released in 2019, however he filed his own motion from prison asking to be released early under a recent change in federal drug sentencing guidelines.

Be I Strong (Babylon Kingdom will Fall)
Next to Bob Marley you are #1 artist in my book, I know those faggots set you up for making boom bye bye. Fire will burn all of them and everyone else who take part in setting you up. All the fire built up inside during your sentencing.....take it to the studio when you come. Hopefully we will meet some day. Brethren to Brethren. One Love...Your biggest fan since early 90's.
