Tertiary Education Minister Colm Imbert has promised to secure an improved pay package for protesting lecturers at the University of the West Indies St Augustine campus in Trinidad.
The lecturers have refused to accept a 15 per cent increase over three years that was recommended by the Public Sector Negotiating Committee. Theyve threatened to shut down the campus.
The lecturers are represented by, the West Indies Group of University Teachers
