Starting this week Jamaicans are going to be required to pay huge increase in fees for services at public hospitals.
The increases implemented will increase the one point one billion dollars the government collects in fees by about $400 million.
The Government says the increases are necessary for the health sector to continue delivering quality health care.
The Health Minister says persons seeking medical care at public hospitals who are unable to afford the fees would not be denied. But she said the hospital, after assessment will seek a contribution from persons who are able to do so.

Oh my God! Jamaica is going from bad to worse. I love Jamaica alot, but I thank God for America. People in Jamaica are going to suffer as a result of this increase. My heart goes out to my Jamaican Family.
