After being away from the National Calypso semi-final for several years, veteran calypsonian Explainer is back to do battle with 29 of his peers, for a place in Dimache Gras 2005.
Explainer is enjoying a strong season at the Calypso Spektakula Tent with Plain Talk and in the fetes with his remake of Lorraine, recorded alongside defending International Soca Monarch, Bunji Garlin.
Also returning to Skinner Park after a period of absence is Cro Cro who will face the judges with his offering Chop Off Dey Hand. The competition appeared to be fast and furious with big guns like Singing Sandra, Sugar Aloes, All Rounder, Mudada and Skatie squaring off against each other.
