More killed in Haiti demonstration

Tuesday, March 1, 2005

One person was killed when Haitian police opened fire on a crowd of demonstrators protesting the year anniversary of the ouster of former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide.
Mr Aristide fled Haiti on February 29 last year in the face of a bloody rebellion by street gangs and former soldiers and under pressure from the United States and France.
About 2,000 protesters waving Aristide pictures and rum bottles started marching towards the National Palace yesterday afternoon when they encountered a police vehicle set up as a roadblock in Bel Air, a neighbourhood where the protest began. The area is an Aristide stronghold.
As crowds passed the vehicle, police fired teargas and then bullets as the crowd scattered. With weapons drawn, United Nations peacekeepers surrounded the area

a pissed off haitian
aaight, this is exactly what the "man" wants:it's for all black nations to have violence, and i'ts like that everywhere black people are.whether it's africa, the U.S, the caribbean, etc. the reason is because when the white man was exporting slaves from africa they mainly hired black people to capture eachother, and to this day we despise eachother for that. that's why in every black nation or black society there is conflict. the white man did that in order to keep us from rising up and overcome so that we can remain slaves forever.

this goes to wise up
you are so ignorant that haitian are animals im fed up with people like you that are ignorant and dumb founded becuz u dont even know half of the situations out there and you stick your nose in it tryin to dog my people. the only reason you talking because of what the media show sure us haitian people would want what the hype you jamaicans get and trinis get and the rest of the west indian world get but it not easy. and to make it short the only parts of haiti they show is just the ghettos they never show the most outstanding places because the white man and fellow haitian top chief and rich people dont want it being seen and im speaking cuz i know my facts. so to "wise up" next time you try to criticize my people think befire you type and good looks to trinicookie man thanks much big up and support to you and family cuz they raise you well. and wise up dont even think that your culture does not have ghettos and killing like ours.

Much Bless to all and the most high

Be Reasonable
There are alot of ignorant people on this forum; It's mad hypocritical though to know that when a conflict doesn't involve a person's immediate country, it's okay to criticize who has animal instincts and lacks morals or whatever else.I am tired of repeating myself, but this trend is highly typical in people of all shades of brown that seeks to attack and belittle eachother to make themselves feel like they are better than others first, before they try to sympathize with the unfortunate things that goes on. As for Haitians (my brothers and sisters), I don't know what to say. If it ever desires you to depart from Haiti, Trinidad & Tobago welcomes you! However, it is best that everyone not run from their problems but stand and demolish it, by all means necessary.

fight to the end for haitian people
Ignorant people are sometimes stupid but in general man cannot control man especially us colored people hatred is destin to kill all of us. There is no hope for people who doesn't beleive in a change if we don't reunite our community all black folkes from the motherland africa each country will fall in the sames troubles as haiti. Mankind has desperately tried to solved troubles overseas far away in irak but cannot controls 7million habitants living not far from the freedom liberator america. Sometimes we ask hows behind all these manipulations.

Ayiti
THough I can't speak for all Haitians, my perspective is that Haiti has bore the brunt of oppression because we freed ourselves from European oppressors. Unlike any other Caribbean country that was "given" independence. White man fear the African man, so they help to put us down in ways, other countries did not face because of compliance and ties with their colonial mother countries. We Got up, and stood up when most were still bending down. Overstand the history of Haiti before you try to condemn Haitians
