High risk of major tsunami in northern Caribbean

Monday, March 21, 2005

Marine scientists say the potential for devastating tsunamis in the northern Caribbean is high. Their observation is based on analysis of historical data since the arrival of Columbus.
Nancy Grindlay and Meghan Hearne of the University of North Carolina, and Paul Mann of the University of Texas focus on one major source of past tsunamis in the region, movement along the boundary between the North American and Caribbean tectonic plates.
The scientists say at least 10 significant tsunamis have been documented in the northern Caribbean since 1492, six of which are known to have resulted in loss of life.
Previous tsunamis destroyed Port Royal, Jamaica, in 1692, killed at least 10 Jamaicans on the island's south coast in 1780, and ravaged the north coast of Haiti and the Dominican Republic, and the Virgin Islands in 1842.

Tsunami
Yow actually the nuclear testin underwater is a damn good idea it would make sense that them tryin find a way to wipe out people by water and then blaming it on a natural disaster and that way no war could be created between any country

yow man was created and was given dominion ova the earth but him taking it too far now
Why life cant just be a day at the beach and a case of redstripe??? no war no nothin just everyone chillin and no sheggyness bout the place.
