Main parties in the Cayman Islands are now campaigning to win the next legislative polls scheduled for May 11.
Confident that this will be a golden opportunity, the main opposition party, Peoples Progressive Party (PPP), has nominated candidates in all nine electoral districts.
In the previous 2000 elections, the ruling United Democratic Party won seats in eight of the nine districts.
Governor of Cayman Islands Bruce Dinwiddy has dissolved the Legislative Council in order to facilitate the electoral campaigns.
