The body of 24-year-old Natanya Irving, clutching her five-month-old baby boy to her breast, was recovered early this week from the murky waters that filled a deep ravine in Myersville, St Elizabeth, Jamaica. And up to Monday, rescuers were still trying to find Irving's five-year-old daughter, Tashma Parchment.
Also missing were Larry Stewart, 41, and Jermaine Spooner, 22, the Good Samaritans whose attempt to help a young family in distress appears to have brought them death Saturday night.
The men were being hailed as heroes in the little town of Myersville, but family and friends said that they would forego all that if there was a miracle and they are found alive.
The five victims of the Myersville disaster are, so far, the only reported deaths directly related to Hurricane Emily that passed off Jamaica's south coast last Saturday, sparing the island the brunt of its winds. It however doused the island with up to eight inches of rain.

Condolences to the family
Sorry to hear about your situation. There are certain things in life that happen that we can explain, but we have to prey to god to give us strength and wisdom and in time he will make you whole again. My prayers are with you.

From a mother...
Nothing brings more tears to my eyes than thinking of a baby having to go through the pain of drowning. It hurts me, and I hurt for that mother who had to watch it. Imagine how God must feel...

there is no promise of fortune but with a cry comes forth the HERO in theses young men they have no super powers like the ones on TV their bones laced with only the local farmers cow milk and their hearts filed with love and honor which is a product of their society the action they take are not planed out they go in the night into the unknow all they hold on to is that cry and with that they answer "WE ARE COMING" never will they give up till the last breath of their soul it might be for eternity they don't care they will push on for i still can hear them now saying "HOLD ON! WE ARE COMING"
