Hurricane Emily, Disaster relief officials in Grenada were busy assessing damage on the island of Carriacou just north of Grenada after it was struck by Hurricane Emily.
Carriacou is believed to have taken the biggest hit from the hurricane. Thats a cause of further headache for Grenadian leader Keith Mitchell, whose administration is still dealing with the fallout from the devastation of Hurricane Ivan ten months ago.
On Wednesday night, Hurricane Emily hit Grenada and flattened crops, flooded streets and hit many homes that were still not fully repaired after Hurricane Ivan.
At least one man was killed in the north of the country.
But it quickly became clear Carriacou may have been closer to the centre of the hurricane, and could have suffered more destruction by comparison.
