From September 27, airplanes will not be able to land or take off from St Lucias George FL Charles Airport, for eight days. A section of the runway is to be repaired.
The St Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority detailed plans for a major rehabilitation project on the airport, which includes excavating and completely overlaying a section of the airstrip.
A Guadeloupe-based firm, has been contracted to undertake the 10 million E.C dollars project.
To facilitate the project, all flights will be transferred to the Hewanorra International Airport in Vieux-Fort.
