Cuba voices solidarity over Katrina

Monday, September 5, 2005

The Cuban parliament, led by President Fidel Castro, observed a minute's silence to honour the victims of Hurricane Katrina here in the U.S..
The National Assembly also expressed solidarity with the local and state authorities in the southern US.
The parliament's speaker, Ricardo Alarcon, described the situation as a tragedy of extraordinary dimensions. he said it particularly affected African Americans, Latino workers and poor whites.
Heavy rainfall lashed western Cuba and downed power lines when Katrina swung across Florida and into the Gulf of Mexico, but the island escaped the devastation seen in the United States.
Other Caribbean nations have been sending messages of condolence to the Bush administration.

Castro please take over Haiti
This is the type of leadership that my country needs and has always needed. Cuba leads by example not greed like the United States. Cuba helps not pretend to help in order to suck out everything you have from the inside like the United States. The U.S. should change it's simbol from Eagle to snake because they have been snaking the world for far to long...their day will in come and in the interim it's great to have leaders real leaders like Fidel Castro to show us what path we should be following.

One that doesn't neglect poor people...Castro is not the reason people in Cuba are fleeing on boats, the endless embargoes to bring down his system and the pressures from the demons abroad are the reason why people are being mislead to flee...

Come out of babylon my people...it's time for reparations and repatriation

Together As One!
Inside all people there is love, also the need to take care of his brother.Inside everyone is a savage, but there is also happening tenderness and compassion.

Thank you Mr Castro! U are living proof that amidst all difficulties ,mankind do find a place in his heart where the Almighty placed his hands.

bless

CASTRO PULL A MARUS WHAT BLACK PEOPLE WAITING ON.
Bless up to castro, why black people always want hand outs and other people to help them, the first thing the black leaders in the USA said after the 5 day wait for federal help is,we need the fed to change there polisy,to help blacks and poor.know jamaicans want USA to help with crime and ower govenment.when will you people learn, look at cuba if America did'nt put economic embago on cuba no telling how rich they would be as a country,we will never move forword as a people if we keep asking, Marcus said it Selassie said it,Walter Rodney said it.WE NEED TO BUILD OWER OWN NATION.If the NAACP did focuss on rebuiding africa and the link instead of preaching live together with white people in the land of the free, what happen in New Orleans would'nt have happen.many more will have to suffer many more will have to die before we learn.
