The Caribbeans mobile telecommunications operator, Digicel, expects to invest over 190 million U.S dollars to set up operations in Trinidad and Tobago.
Digicel has already begun transporting equipment to Trinidad essential to deliver GSM, roaming and other network mobile phone services.
CEO for Digicel Trinidad and Tobago Limited, Ms. Sinead Marcaigh said the company hopes to create up to 400 jobs locally, in addition to suppliers and contractors, which could account for five times the number of employees.
Digicel has also teamed up with Ericsson, the worlds leading GSM provider, since its flagship launch in Jamaica in 2001.
