ILLEGAL SCHOOLS will not be tolerated in Barbados.

Monday, October 3, 2005

Barbados Minister of State in the Ministry of Education, Cynthia Forde has issued a warning against the setting up of illegal schools. At a service to mark the start of Education Month, the Minister acknowledged that the Government alone cannot be responsible for providing schools. But she said those trying to do it privately must adhere to the guidelines.
These, include safety regulations, an established curriculum and ensuring the institution meet the child's educational, spiritual and social needs.

Education Is the KEY
Look I am a bajan now living in England, my mother helped with my schooling and many of the other children in Carrington Village, if not for her, many of the children would have been illerate or back ward and done worse in their studies. Thanks to her make shift school in the evenings, I am now the proud recipiant of a Degree and have always strived to better myself through education. Give these so called illegal schools HELP to set up properly and in so doing better the chances for the children who they teach.
