The European Commission has proposed 12 million dollars in new budgetary aid to support Haiti, as it prepares for new elections in December.
The offer from the European Union's executive arm, came at the end of an international conference of aid donors.
The conference, took place in Brussels and was designed to boost confidence in Haiti.
The new aid was announced less than a week after the EU unblocked 87 million dollars in aid to Haiti.
The funds were frozen nearly five years ago to protest election irregularities.
