Thousands support 'Death March'

Monday, October 24, 2005

An estimated 10 to 15 thousand citizens of Trinidad and Tobago, including the business community, marched the streets of Port-of-Spain in protest of the spiraling crime wave in the country. For this year so far there are 306 murder victims.
But Government representatives were noticeably absent from the march, a move many described as contempt for the citizens who have been affected by the crime wave.
Prominent in the, quote, unquote Deat March were UNC members, like the leader and deputy, Winston Dookeran and Austin Jack Warner.

help
TnT needs to get better. im only 12 yrs old, and when i go there for the holidays i dont wanna worry about getting shot just cuz of some foolish person who owns a gun. The police need to put all those wannabe gangsters behind bars. I have family down there and if anything happen to them I will want the criminal shot himself. Please oh please help my country and let the good have a great victory over evil. amen

whatever!!
If you dont already know, no matter what country you go to there is always goin to be crimes commited,T&T is not the only country that has crime, If the people of T&T think marching would solve anything then maybe you all should go march for haiti, guyana, jamaica and other countries. You all act like T&T is/was perfect and nothing bad can happen in that country, but you know if it was perfect maybe god would be living there, obviously he aint so you know what means." some people say god is a trini" (trini to the bone) whoeva sa dat nah no noting bout god!!.

IS TIME TO DO SOMETHING
Yeah man.. yeah man is time for the people of trinidad to stand up and do something. I am happpy to see that the people of trinidad are uniting to fight crime...
i left trinidad in 1999 and it has gotten worst when it comes to crime.. it sickens me to see so much crime in trinidad.

i think patrick manning should stop talking and start doind. cause that asshole only talks but does nothing. he said he was going to bring back capital punishment but he aint do shit.

if i was in trinidad i would slap him because he isnt doing anything about the crime.

i am very angryyyyyyy about the fact that trinidad is getting worse.

Cant wait to come home
It's very depressing to hear about all the crime that is going on back home, but look at it this way other countries be it large or small have to deal with the same sort of thing or even worse,so do as i do every day ask god to watch over our country ,because crime or no crime ah coming home.

missing TNT
hey! Respect to all my trini people. Since i left TNT in 1999 there was crime. I'm not saying things are getting better, but reality is wherever you are there is something going on. My whole family lives in trinidad and i speak wirh my mom every two days . This is just part of life. These are the signs of the times, I'm not a christian so don't judge me. Anyways, i think u should go TNT & enjoy yourself. There is only one life to live and you should make the most of it. I've learnrd that by experience.
