A hurricane watch in the Caribbean seas became a drug bust for the British Royal Navy's frigate, HMS Cumberland. The crew seized two-tonnes of cocaine while conducting a humanitarian and disaster relief patrol on the high seas.
The two-tonne haul of cocaine is said to have a street value of about 355 million U.S dollars.
The navy's frigate was on standby to provide first aid to victims of the hurricane season when it received information that the smugglers were nearby.
The navy launched a helicopter to stop it.
The four crew onboard the small speedboat initially tried to outrun the helicopter but gave themselves up after a brief chase
