Haiti election supervisors 'quit'

Monday, November 14, 2005

All the members of a high-level committee set up to improve the organisation of the upcoming elections in Haiti have resigned.
The panel was set up by interim prime minister, Gerard Latortue, because of concerns about the work of the Provisional Electoral Council.
But the head of the committee, Christian Rousseau, said the body did not receive political support.
Poor organisation has resulted in the elections being delayed twice already. Both the United Nations and the United States have voiced concerns about the postponements.
The polls are now planned for some time between December 11 and 18 under UN supervision. They will be the first since President Jean-Bertrand Aristide fled into exile last year.

hey

HAITI, POOR BUT PROSPEROUS HAITI
HAITI DOES NOT NEED ARISITIDE OR ANY OF THESE OLD USELESS WANNA BE LEADERS IF THE HATIAN PEOPLE WILL STOP WORRYING ABOUT THE DARKNESS OR LIGHTNESS OF THEIR BLACK SKIN AND STOP THE KIDNAPPING OF FAMILY MEMBERS WHO ARE TRYING TO HELP YOU SURVIVE FROM THE US OR WHERE EVER! THEM HATIANS ARE A SMART ASS GROUP OF PEOPLE BUT PLAYING DUMB! MONEY IS THE ROUTE OF ALL EVIL!
AND THERE IS MONEY IN HAITI BUT WHEN THE WRONG POLITICIANS GET CONTROL THEY THINK ABOUT THEM SELVES AND THEIR BOYZ NOT MAKING THEIR COUNTRY HOME AND SAFE AGAIN EDUCATION IS A MUST, KNOWLEDGE IS THE POWER AND THAT IS WHAT THEY ARE STEALING FROM THEIR OWN PEOPLE. BETTER MUST COME ONE DAY AND IT WILL ,PRAY TO GOD IT WILL!
BLACK PEOPLE MUST UNITE WE ARE ONE
BUT THE CHOSEN ARE FEW!

Regardless of Aristide's return or continued exile, Haiti is need of some REAL LEADERSHIP!!! POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC INFRASTRUCTURE!!!! DEMOCRATIC AND SOCIALIST AGENDA!! Trying to be the like the U.S. continues to hinder the country's progress. M'fini

Aristide in Exile
Aristide did not flee into exile. Foreign troops sent by the UN or the US or both came to his home, placed him and his family under arrest and took them him to a waiting plane and flew them to Chad. He later went to South Africa, Jamaica and back to South Africa.
