South Africans may attempt to infiltrate Haiti from Dominican Republic to sabotage elections

Monday, December 12, 2005

Immigration authorities in the Dominican Republic are carefully inspecting the travel documents and identification of all arriving passengers of South African and European origin This follows intelligence reports that South Africans are planning to enter the country by air and then cross the border into Haiti, to sabotage the elections in that country. Elections are scheduled for next month.
The reports indicate, South African citizens have been requesting visas through Dominican Republic consulates in Europe and it is suspected that these groups may be linked to Jean Bertrand Aristide, the ousted former president of Haiti. He is currently exiled in South Africa.
The Dominican Republics Secretary of Defense, has instructed all military personnel assigned to the border with Haiti to be more vigilant. Security has been increased at check points in the border cities.

Baby Doc
He mighta been a little dishonest but comin from a politician, a lil is almost nothing especially if he did so many great things for the country as the latter had described about more jobs and stuff. With that all in mind why wouldn't the people want him back?

Baby Doc
I dont think he would have any intrest anymore, also if I am not mistaken, I think he was implicated in some dishonesty when he was in power. On the other hand would the people want him back?

When..
When Baby Doc was in power our people did not suffer like this...We had jobs, crops, and lots of tourists. Our country was doing well.....Why can't he go back to clean up this mess and put us back on track.

Haiti
It is not a good thing to have your leaders constantly been overthrown. Hati has an history with that situation. Look at Jamaica's model ;even though it is not perfect, they have never had that problem. I would like Haiti to be a strong country in the region.

Dorain
Because South Africa dont fight like that ,and besides it would dammage their credibility. They dont have much to gain, it would be too much problem for them and the US would see that as a treat to their security. Dont forget we have eyes in outerspace.

Actually
Lincoln, it may sound like nonsense but anyone who knows ANYTHING about Arisitide may think differently. In 1994, when he was in exile, he did something very similar to this in an attempt to pressure America into helping him get back to Haiti. He's the devil.
