The Barbados Port Authority has apologized to its Workers Union (BWU) for the disrespect shown to the union and its delegates over recent months by not honoring the collective agreement. BWU general secretary Sir Roy Trotman apologized for the Authoritys failure to reinstate employees who had been terminated due to imprisonment, and senior citizen employees who were fired on the grounds of their 60-year pension limitation arrangement. Sir Trotman also apologized for its tardiness in a letter written to the union regarding a number of safety and health issues relating to pilots at the port. |
